The Tori Amos CD (pictured above), donated by @BroadwayGirlNYC and signed by the Broadway Sings Tori cast, was auctioned off for $650 for RAINN.

SiriusXM host Julie James emceed the intimate cabaret-style evening, and the stellar lineup of Broadway and cabaret vocalists did not disappoint the sold-out house of Tori Amos fans, killing it on the stage of (le) poisson rouge, with musical director Brian Nash on the keys, Michael Herklots on drums, Chris Biesterfeldt on guitar and Lorenzo Wolff on bass.

Kravits shared, “As a singer, I have always been on the lookout for new artists to listen to so that I can continue to grow as a performing artist. When I find an artist that I love, I listen to them over and over, trying to glean some new sound, or vocal style that I can then experiment with myself. I think I listened to ‘Silent All These Years” about 500 times in a row when it first came out. I heard the way her voice moved, the way she sang with such dynamic expression, how she would use every part of her range to evoke all the different emotions, and then how she played the piano. What I have taken away from my many replays of her albums, beyond her bravery, her unabashed honesty, her power or her musicality, is her ability to tell an intensely intimate story so beautifully. I was so honored to sing this amazing event for such an important cause.”
