AN AMERICAN IN PARIS AND FUN HOME Lead 2015 Tony Award Nominations with 12 each; Ken Watanabe, Ruthie Ann Miles, Kelli O’Hara, Chita Rivera, Bradley Cooper, Kristin Chenoweth, Bill Nighy, Helen Mirren, Elisabeth Moss, Carey Mulligan, Ruth Wilson, K. Todd Freeman, Patricia Clarkson Among the Nominees

Past Tony Award-winner and three-time nominee Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis, the Emmy and Golden Globe winner who is set to make his Broadway debut in the upcoming play Misery, announced the 2015 Tony nominees in a live webcast on April 28, 2015, from the Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel in midtown Manhattan.

Parker, who is an Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner, will star in Heisenberg by Simon Stephens Off Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club in May. She received a 2001 Tony Award for her performance in the David Auburn play Proof.

Parker and Willis revealed the recipients of nominations in each of the 24 competitive categories. Productions that opened during the 2014-2015 Broadway season on or before the April 23 cut-off date may be eligible for Tony Awards this year.

An American in Paris and Fun Home lead the nominations with 12 each. An American in Paris was nominated for Best Musical, Craig Lucas (Best Book of a Musical), Robert Fairchild (Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical), Leanne Cope (Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical), Max von Essen (Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical), Brandon Uranowitz (Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical), Bob Crowley and 59 Productions (Best Scenic Design of a Musical), Bob Crowley (Best Costume Design of a Musical), Natasha Katz (Best Lighting Design of a Musical), Christopher Wheeldon (Best Direction of a Musical and Best Choreography),  and Christopher Austin, Don Sebesky, Bill Elliott (Best Orchestrations).

Wolf Hall Parts One and Two, received 8 nominations including Best Play (Co-Authors: Hilary Mantel and Mike Poulton), Ben Miles (Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play), Nathaniel Parker (Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play), Lydia Leonard (Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play), Christopher Oram (Best Scenic Design of a Play, Best Costume Design of a Play), Paule Constable and David Plater (Best Lighting Design of a Play) and Jeremy Herrin (Best Direction of a Play).

The 69th Annual Tony Awards, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will take place on June 7, hosted by Broadway vets Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming. The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS live from Radio City Music Hall at 8/7c (delayed PT).
