To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of The National Asian Artists Project, Executive Artistic Director, Baayork Lee, and her very special team are “turning it up” with a special and splashy show called PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE on Monday, October 5, 2015, at NYU Skirball Center, 566 LaGuardia Pl in New York. Showtime 8PM.
The evening will be a line-up of wall-to-wall musical numbers from Broadway shows and featuring highlights from past productions and current material, as well as what Baayork hopes to stage in the future, with her unique company. It is a fantastic opportunity to SHOW OFF the talents in NAAP, from soloists to dancers to choral.
The TWIST of the night is that many numbers will be staged by Broadway pros, who are friends and supporters of NAAP, and the evening will be supervised by Directors Baayork Lee and Richard Jay-Alexander. The evening will be conducted by Broadway’s Kevin Stites.

In 2009, Lee founded (with Steven Eng and Nina Zoie Lam) the National Asian Artists Project, which focuses on providing opportunities for the Asian American artistic community. NAAP’s “Discover New Musicals” program allows writers of all races and ethnicities to have new works showcased annually, utilizing Asian American casts, and its educational programs enable artists to hone their craft and to stay competitive in the workplace.
