Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston kicked off its 48th consecutive summer season with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s masterpiece CAROUSEL on June 9, 2016, at the Robinson Theatre (617 Lexington St. Waltham, MA, 02452) and performances will continue through June 19th.

Directed and Choreographed by Rachel Bertone (The Wild Party, Guys & Dolls), CAROUSEL stars IRNE Award winner Jennifer Ellis (My Fair Lady, The Most Happy Fella) as innocent millworker Julie Jordan, Broadway star Ciarán Sheehan (LES MISERABLES, Phantom) as swaggering carnival barker Billy Bigelow, and Elliot Norton/IRNE Award winner Leigh Barrett (Grey Gardens, Ragtime) as Nettie Fowler, the kind-hearted mother figure.

The CAROUSEL cast also includes Jessica Kundla as Carrie Pipperidge, Dan Prior as Enoch Snow, Todd Yard as Jigger Craigin, Karen Fanale as Mrs. Mullin, Kyra Christopher as Louise Bigelow, Stephen Rourke as Mr. Bascombe and Rick Sherburne as The Starkeeper.

Under IRNE Award winning Music Director Dan Rodriguez (Guys and Dolls), CAROUSEL feature some of the most powerful music ever written for the stage including “If I Loved You”, “June is Bustin’ Out All Over” and the iconic “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

CAROUSEL was named the best musical of the 20th century by Time Magazine. Spanning heaven and earth to explore themes of human frailty and resilience, CAROUSEL tells of roguish carnival barker Billy Bigelow and mill worker Julie Jordan who meet and fall in love. The tale that follows is a story of love, violence, hope and redemption. Music by Richard Rodgers. Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Based on Ferenc Molnar’s Play “Lilion”, as adapted by Benjamin F. Glazer. Original Dances by Agnes de Mille.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston (RMT) has been bringing Broadway-quality musical theatre to the greater Boston area for 48 seasons. Under the creative direction of Robert J. Lia Chang is an actor, a multi-media content producer and co-founder of Bev’s Girl Films, making films that foster inclusion and diversity on both sides of the camera. Bev’s Girl Films’ debut short film, Hide and Seek was a top ten film in the Asian American Film Lab’s 2015 72 Hour Shootout Filmmaking Competition, and she received a Best Actress nomination. BGF collaborates with and produces multi-media content for artists, actors, designers, theatrical productions, composers, musicians and corporations. Lia is also an internationally published and exhibited photographer, a multi-platform journalist, and a publicist. Lia has appeared in the films Wolf, New Jack City, A Kiss Before Dying, King of New York, Big Trouble in Little China, The Last Dragon, Taxman and Hide and Seek. She is profiled in Examiner.com, Jade Magazine and Playbill.com.
